It has snowed in the garden and OAKLEY tells his friends about the abominable snowman. No one has ever seen it, only its big footprints. ARCHIE has never seen snow before. The others tell him about skiing and sledging and snow angels. ARCHIE confidently expects he’ll be great at making snow angels but BLUEBIRD easily makes the best one. ARCHIE is disappointed.
ARCHIE tries ice-skating and thinks he’ll be amazing but he slips and slides all over the place. HOLLY gracefully pirouettes and twirls: she is undoubtedly the best. Poor ARCHIE slides away defeated. Next up, a skiing race and ARCHIE is certain he’ll win but RAGGLES is much faster and ARCHIE loses again! Not wanting to give up, he tries sledging. They all go whizzing down the hill, except ARCHIE, who is so small and light that he has to keep getting off to push. He comes last, and is getting frustrated.
Finally, ARCHIE is determined to build the biggest snowman, but WILL wins again. ARCHIE admits defeat, leaning against his snowman which accidentally rolls down the hill. As the snowballs roll, they grow bigger and bigger… crashing into BIG BEAR at the bottom. He’s not hurt but is completely covered in snow, with the carrot stuck in his mouth. ROSIE tells BIG BEAR they may not have found the abominable snowman, but he looks like the ABOMINABLE SNOW BEAR!! ARCHIE also points out that he did “make” the biggest snowman after all.
